Leeds United have no intention of letting Tyler Adams leave amidst Manchester United interest
Manchester United are eyeing a move for Tyler Adams, but Leeds United have no intention of parting with the USMNT star, according to TEAMtalk (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Red Devils have ‘genuine interest’ in the 23-year-old. However, the Peacocks do not want to let the midfielder leave in January. Jesse Marsch’s team will not entertain any offers for him.
After coming up through the ranks at New York Red Bulls, Adams joined RB Leipzig. After spending a few years in Germany, the American joined the West Yorkshire outfit in the recent transfer window.
The USMNT star has been impressive in his short time at Leeds. In the current campaign, the defensive midfielder has started 13 games in the Premier League under Marsch.
At the 2022 World Cup, the 23-year-old wore the captain’s armband for Gregg Berhalter’s team and caught many people’s eyes with his displays. However, the American’s lost to the Netherlands in the round of 16.
Man United signed Casemiro in the recent transfer window from Real Madrid to bolster the midfield. The 30-year-old has made an immediate impact in the number six position for the Red Devils.
Erik ten hag also got Christian Eriksen on a free transfer to Manchester. The Denmark international has surprised many with his performances for us. The 30-year-old scored his first goal in a red shirt against Fulham in the Premier League.
Casemiro and Eriksen have become essential cogs in the engine room under the Dutch manager. However, the Old Trafford side seem to lack quality on the bench.
