Alejandro Garnacho contract talks progressing with Manchester United relaxed about the forward’s future

Manchester United are relaxed about the contract situation of Alejandro Garnacho and talks are progressing over a new deal, according to Manchester Evening News.

It was believed the 18-year-old was in the final year of his contract. However, contrary to those reports, the Argentine is tied down with the Red Devils until the summer of 2025. Thus, the Old Trafford side are calm about his situation.

Regarding Grnacho’s contract, the length and incremental increases have United in a comfortable position. Thus, the 18-year-old is seemingly going to stay put in Manchester for the time being.

The Argentine joined the Red Devils’ academy in 2020 from Atletico Madrid. And last season, the forward’s performance with the youth team turned many heads.

Garnacho won the FA Youth Cup in the previous campaign. He also got a call-up to the national team’s senior side this year. And the youngster travelled with the first team on their pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

While the 18-year-old has not featured much for the Old Trafford side this season, he has been in and around the senior squad.

The forward was given his first start for the senior side against Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League. The Argentine put in an impressive display in the 3-0 win at Old Trafford as he played 79 minutes.

Garnacho is still young and has a lot of room for improvement. Fans can see glimpses of potential in the 18-year-old whenever he plays. However, with the stiff competition for places in the team, it is evidently challenging for the youngster to get a lot of game time.

However, supporters and management alike need to be patient with the Argentine. It is wise to slowly integrate the forward into the team and give Garnacho regular minutes to develop his game further.
