Team News: Manchester United could miss both Fred and Edinson Cavani for their trip to Leicester City
According to the latest team news on BBC Sport (h/t The Express), Manchester United are already making plans for the Leicester City game on the 16th of October as they could be without Fred and Edinson Cavani.
South American countries continue to be on the red zone for England and restrictions of an isolation period are still persisting for every traveler that returns from any of those countries. Brazil and Uruguay are two of those countries and United are now set to suffer because of that.
Fred has been called up by the Samba outfit, while Edinson Cavani will also head to the Uruguayan national setup.
Several Premier League clubs, including the Old Trafford outfit, refused to let their players leave for international duty to the red zone countries in September but have been forced to not do the same again this time around.
Cavani, in particular, was outraged with FIFA’s lack of support to the Premier League players over the isolation period rules. Regardless, this is bad news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is already making plans without his central midfielder and centre-forward.
This is because Uruguay’s last game will be played on Friday morning i.e., 15th of October. Leicester are set to host the Red Devils about 30 hours after that, and it might not be possible to field Cavani. A similar situation also persists with Fred.

Thus, changes would have to be made by Solskjaer for the trip to King Power as they look to pick up their first league victory since the 19th of September.
However, given that their away form has been flawless this year coupled with their star-studded squad, the Norwegian might be confident of picking up three points.
