Sheriff Tiraspol ace Edmund Addo is eyeing a move to Manchester United
Speaking to Ghanaian radio station Joy FM, as quoted by The Sun (h/t TEAMtalk), Sheriff Tiraspol ace Edmund Addo has revealed that he wants to play for Manchester United.
One of the great underdog stories of this year’s UEFA Champions League, Sheriff Tiraspol are currently leading the group including the likes of Serie A heavyweights Inter Milan, Ukrainian powerhouse Shakhtar Donetsk and 13-time European champions Real Madrid.
The Moldovan club have been unfazed by any of them and have already defeated both Shakhtar and Madrid, with the latter being defeat at home earlier this week.
A crucial part of this side is defensive midfielder Edmund Addo, who has produced incredible performances so far. Thanks to his performances, the Ghanaian is also on the verge of a national team-call-up now. While he is excelling for Sheriff, his dream is to play for Manchester United.
Addo told Ghanaian radio station, Joy FM, as quoted by The Sun (h/t TEAMtalk):
“Ideally, my dream is to play for Manchester United. Which player doesn’t want to be in one of the strongest football clubs in Europe? I am no exception.
“Since childhood, I have been rooting for the Red Devils. But today you have to work hard. I strive to get a chance to prove myself in the Champions League. Now, this is the most important thing.”
