Manchester United have received a huge boost as Michail Antonio has been ruled out for the game against the Red Devils next week
According to the Daily Star, Manchester United have received a boost as Michail Antonio has been ruled out for West Ham United for their clash against the Red Devils next week.
The Old Trafford outfit won their game against Newcastle United 4-1 on Saturday, thanks to goals from Bruno Fernandes, Jesse Lingard, and a brace from club legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who also picked up the Man of the Match award.
However, that was not the only piece of positive news for the Red Devils as they also found that West Ham United striker Michail Antonio will be ruled out for the game next weekend when the Hammers face the Manchester-based club.
Antonio had a horrific day against Southampton at St. Marys on Saturday as the striker was initially booked for getting into a brawl with Jack Stephens. However, David Moyes’ nightmare came true when the Jamaican international lunged into another challenge, earning himself a second yellow card on the day, courtesy of which he was sent off.
Moyes branded his striker ‘stupid’ for going into a tackle like that after his first booking, and the 31-year-old will now be unavailable against the Old Trafford outfit on Sunday.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer would be more than pleased with this news, especially since Antonio is currently the joint top scorer in the Premier League with 4 goals to his name.
