Jadon Sancho to have his Manchester United medical after the Euros

According to BBC Sport journalist Howard Nurse (h/t The Express), English wonderkid Jadon Sancho looks set to have his Manchester United medical after this summer’s European Championship.

The 21-year-old is closer than ever to completing a move to Old Trafford this summer. He is currently with the English squad as they prepare to take on Germany in the round of 16.

United have followed the player’s progress at Borussia Dortmund for some time now. They have already informed that the Germans that they are ready to make an €85m bid for the player. While it is a little lesser than what Dortmund want, the deal is surely inching closer.

Sancho to be a United player soon?

Nurse goes on to add that the timing of the deal will depend on England’s involvement in the Euros. While an agreement with the clubs could still be concluded beforehand, the medical will have to wait.

According to the report, United are confident Sancho will be their player. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already started planning for life with the 21-year-old and hopes that he will prove to be the answer to United’s needs on the right-wing.

The player meanwhile is enjoying an unhappy spell with England at the Euros. He has played a grand total of six minutes in the group stage and appears to be consigned to the bench.
