Manchester United fans call on the club to sign Kalvin Phillips this summer

Several Manchester United fans were left in awe of English international Kalvin Phillips who impressed in the Three Lions’ win over Croatia in their European Championship opener at Wembley.

The Leeds United star was a driving force in England’s midfield and provided the assist for Raheem Sterling’s winner. Phillips was the standout player on the night and largely neutralized Mateo Kovacic in the Croatian midfield.

The 25-year-old showed a good account of his skills and was equally proficient in making forward passes and breaking up the play. There is little doubt that his dynamism would be a massive addition to the United midfield.

However, it is time to come back to reality. Neither have United been linked to Phillips nor does the player appear to have any source of affiliation to us. As things stand, it is just a fanciful concoction influenced by one game.

Moreover, he is a Leeds United player. Given their rivalry with United, it is hard to see a player make the jump from Elland Road to Old Trafford. This has however not stopped fans from taking to Twitter calling for Phillips’ signing. We take a look at a few of them below.
