Manchester United Transfer News: Anthony Martial offered to Real Madrid
According to transfer news from Express, Real Madrid have been offered the services of Manchester United star Anthony Martial by his agent. As Solskjaer tries to revamp his squad, there’s an opinion that Martial may not play a prominent role.
The Frenchman came into the 2020/21 season riding high on the wave of a spectacular 2019/20 season. He ended the season as United’s top scorer and was also voted the Manchester United Players’ Player of the Year.
It has, however, proven to be a frustrating campaign for Martial, who scored just seven goals all season. An injury sustained while on international duty in March ended his season prematurely and denied him a spot in France’s squad for the Euros.
United are keen to reinforce their attack this summer. Jadon Sancho is seen as a priority and looks set to once again be the focus of our attention. Sancho’s arrival would push Martial down the pecking order and that is why an exit has been mooted. A loan-to-buy deal is being proposed by his agent to Real Madrid as he tries to find a new club for his client.

While Solskjaer has always supported Martial, his form over the last season makes it hard to justify that. New faces are likely to arrive at the club and unless Martial pulls up his socks, his time at the club could just be nearing an end.
