Not Lukaku – Man United could benefit financially if this former star switches clubs

Manchester United to benefit monetarily if Wilfried Zaha moves clubs this summer

According to The Times (Subscription Required), Manchester United could benefit financially if former star Wilfried Zaha leaves Crustal Palace in the summer transfer window.

The dynamic winger endured a brief and forgettable spell at United early on in his career. Zaha was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013 and made just four appearances for the Red Devils

He eventually signed for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2015 and has thrived at Selhurst Park. However, there is only so much that he can achieve at a club such as Palace and could be on the move this summer.

The 28-year-old has been the standout player for Palace and is keen to leave the club before the pre-season begins. The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are all keen.

Who he joins is immaterial as United could enrich themselves once the move is completed. Palace made such high demands for Zaha given that a sizeable 25% of any fee they receive will be owed to United.

This will be welcome news to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is keen to reinforce his side in the summer. The added income will be a massive boost given the current financial situation.

Wilfried Zaha has hinted at him not being given a fair chance to succeed at Manchester Untied by Louis van Gaal.
