Man United could re-sign former Old Trafford flop in a cut-price £30m deal

Manchester United could re-sign Wilfried Zaha for cheap

According to the Sun, Manchester United can re-sign Wilfried Zaha this summer for a cut-price deal worth £30m.

The 27-year-old is keen to move on this summer and Palace are ready to sell. If it happens, it will be the third deal between the clubs for the Ivory Coast international.

Zaha endured a tough time at United after being signed by Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013. He made just four appearances for the Red Devils and was predominantly sent out on loan. Zaha eventually signed for Crystal Palace in the summer of 2015.

He has since thrived at Selhurst Park and is now the club’s star player. Previously valued at £70m, Zaha could now leave for less than half of that amount this summer.

Zaha endured a difficult season this time around. He failed to hit his usual heights and scored just four goals and five assists in 39 games.

Despite his recent difficulties, he remains an astute player who is much better than the prospect we signed seven years ago. An experienced head, he could thrive in the right atmosphere.

Having already played along with Aaron Wan-Bissaka at Crystal Palace, the winger could strike up a partnership with the United star on the right flank.

With United set to compete on multiple fronts, we will need strength in depth to negotiate what could be a long season. At the quoted price, Zaha is well worth the risk.

United stands to benefit financially if Zaha is sold to another club. The Red Devils will receive 25% of any transfer fee Palace receive this summer.

This money will help boost our transfer kitty ahead of an important summer.
