Usain Bolt reveals that he wants Fred out of the Manchester United team

Speaking to CNN (h/t Metro), Olympic Gold medallist and Manchester United fan, Usain Bolt, stated that Fred is not good enough to play in midfield for the Red Devils, and went on to praise Edinson Cavani.

The 100m and 200m world-record holder feels that the Brazilian central midfielder does not do enough when playing. He feels that Fred works hard, but his passing lets him down in games.

“I think Fred should not be in the midfield. I think he is lacking so much. He works hard, but he’s lacking passing and he gives away a lot of cheap fouls in bad areas.”

He then went on to mention that Edinson Cavani should feature for the club whenever he is fit and stated that the players need to be ‘pressured more’ by the manager. The Uruguayan is currently sidelined due to injury.

No room to be nice

Bolt added that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer needs to be more strict with the players. He was asked if the Norwegian should stay as United boss, and he answered in the affirmative, but only if he changes his ‘nice’ attitude.

“That’s the only thing I can say, he’s too nice… but if he changes and really pressures the players, calls them out sometimes when they really didn’t put their all into it, then I feel like he should stay because he is cool and the fans love him.”
