Manchester United fans react as club ends Manchester City’s 21-game winning streak

An injury-hit Manchester United side travelled to the Etihad to take on Pep Guardiola and his Manchester City juggernaut on Sunday night.

It is fair to say that the Citizens went into the game as favourites and could have landed a death blow in the title race. However, it would appear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his men did not get the script as they put up a performance to remember to derail the City train.

The Red Devils got off to the best of starts after Bruno Fernandes scored from the spot in the second minute.

City had most of the ball and a created a number of decent chances. The United defence, however, held firm and Dean Henderson stepped up when needed.

Luke Shaw, who is enjoying a resurgent season, put the game beyond doubt in the 50th minute as United took a 2-0 lead.
