The 27-year-old is set for a spell on the sidelines after injuring his thigh against Everton. Solskajer confirmed that Pogba will be out of action for at least a few weeks.
“We’re not going to take any risks, but a few weeks definitely.”
The Frenchman has been one of our best players in recent weeks and has played a key role in United’s surprise title challenge. Losing him at such a key juncture in the season is frustrating.
Solskjaer admitted that Pogba has already begun his recovery process and every attempt will be made to ensure he returns to his best. The Norwegian is aware of the Frenchman’s importance and appears to know the perils of rushing him back before he is ready.
“It’ll take a few weeks for it to heal, so he’s just started his recovery, working with the medical staff and we’ll get him back as soon as we can, as safely as we can, because of course Paul’s been very important for us.”
Pogba’s versatility has seen Solskjaer deploy him in a variety of roles this season. The club’s Player of the Month for January, he has looked more like the player fans are accustomed to seeing play for France.
A key run of games!

While his presence would definitely have made our job easier, United should have enough quality in their ranks to get the job done without the Frenchman.
