Man United hoping to revive deal for potential world-beater that got away in the summer

Manchester United seeking to revive Jadon Sancho deal

According to Spanish outlet Todofichajes (h/t Mirror), Manchester United still retain hope that Jadon Sancho will end up at the club.

The young winger was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford earlier this summer. However, Borussia Dortmund refused to budge on their asking price and he stayed put in Germany. (h/t Mirror)

One of the best players in the world in his age group, Sancho would be a game-changing signing for any team. Adding him to our roster would vastly amplify our attack.

A major reason for United’s optimism is the player’s stance. Sancho has already informed the club of his intention to return to the Premier League. (h/t Mirror)

According to the report, Dortmund might not lower their €120m asking price. However, they could accept Sancho’s inevitable exit.

While signing Edinson Cavani and Alex Telles has to an extent downplayed the rather dour summer window we have had. Sancho alone is in no position to take us back to the top.

While the player would be a marquee signing that would send out a statement, we will need more than just him to secure our spot at the top.

It can be argued that our obsession with signing him could see us lose out on other players who have also gone on to impress.

A major example of this is Jack Grealish. According to Stretty News(h/t Daily Star), we were offered the Aston Villa skipper last summer. However, we had our eyes set on Jadon Sancho and decided to pass on Grealish.

United ensured their insistence on seeing the Sancho deal through ended with us not only missing out on him but also losing opportunities elsewhere.

We can do with a more structured approach where we land our targets rather than just aim for the top only to end up nowhere.
