According to the Sun, Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has splashed out the cash to purchase a golf course.

He plans to design and build a new residence on the grounds. The 22-year-old currently lives in a £1.85million six-bedroom home in Cheshire.

Rashford’s decision is based on his desire to stay somewhere more secluded to protect his privacy. The move will represent a massive upgrade from his humble beginnings on a council estate in Greater Manchester.

Despite the rise, Rashford has not forgotten his roots. He is keen to help as many people as possible and has emerged as a hero for the masses.

Despite being a public figure, Rashford too is in need of his own personal time and privacy. Hopefully, the property will let him achieve it.

“He thinks building a new house surrounded by greenery will give him the escape he needs.”

The source also went on to confirm that Rashford does not golf. However, the property could give his teammates a chance to visit and have a putt.

It has also been revealed that Rashford will feature on the cover of Vogue magazine in September. He was chosen by editor Edward Enninful because of his high-profile campaign to extend the free school meals program.
