Manchester United erect a portable dressing room for visiting teams
According to the Daily Mail, Manchester United have erected a double Portakabin dressing room area for visiting teams at Old Trafford.
The space is big enough to accommodate two big changing rooms taking into account the need for social distancing. It also consists of showers and an office area for the opposing manager and his staff.
Keeping in line with the Premier League protocols, the area has been allocated at the top of the tunnel entrance. It is located near to where the visiting teams’ coaches arrive. It contains an exit into the tunnel area that leads out onto the pitch.
Players from West Bromwich Albion were given a taste of the facility prior to their twin friendlies last week.
It shows the seriousness with which United views the matter at hand. The club is not keen to leave anything to chance, whether it be for our own team or our opponents.
The Red Devils are not the only club engaged in erecting temporary structures. Everton have allocated an area at the back of their Park End stand for their opponents.
According to the report, social distancing guidelines specify for 25 people to use a room of around 112 square metres. This is larger than a number of changing rooms at grounds throughout the Premier League.
United have also taken feedback from West Brom and hope to have everything in place by the time Tottenham Hotspur come calling.
