According to the Daily Star, Manchester United fans have been sent into a tizzy following the latest announcement by Saul Niguez.

The Atletico Madrid star took to Twitter to announce that he will reveal his new club in three days time.

The midfielder is a key member of Diego Simeone’s side. He has made nearly 300 appearances in all competitions for the Spanish giants.

The Red Devils were keen on a move for the Spaniard as a replacement for Paul Pogba. However, the financial impact of the virus has negatively affected the club’s finances.

Clubs could be forced to lower their asking prices to try and offset the costs incurred by football’s suspension.

Niguez’s tease has gone down well with the United fanbase. A number of fans were seen reacting to it on Twitter. Some even believe the deal is done.

The Spaniard’s contract at the club runs until 2026. He had previously expressed his happiness at Atletico. A move to United will add a lot to the Red Devils.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer sees the 25-year-old as the perfect foil to January signing Bruno Fernandes in midfield. An engine in the middle of the park, Niguez will supplement Fernandes’ attacking instincts to bring more balance to our midfield.

Niguez is a player who has experience of having played in some of the biggest games. His experience will be a welcome addition at Old Trafford.

In three days, we shall know if he will don the famous Red shirt or choose to go elsewhere.
