Manchester United offer legacy and money to convince Jadon Sancho
According to Daily Star, Manchester United are set to offer Jadon Sancho two key concessions in order for him to make the move to Old Trafford.
Apart from offering him a lucrative new contract, Sancho has also been offered the No.7 jersey.
If he chooses to accept, Sancho will be following a host of club legends who all donned the famous number. These include the likes of David Beckham, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best, Bryan Robson and Eric Cantona.
If it comes to pass, United will hope he does better than our recent No.7 Alexis Sanchez.
With the recruitment mantra under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer focused on signing young, hungry, homegrown talents, Sancho fits the bill perfectly. This has seen Solskjaer tag him as a key addition to his squad.
The flying winger has endured an excellent season and has scored an impressive 17 goals and 19 assists in just 35 appearances this season. With just two years left on his Dortmund contract, he is keen to return to Manchester.
United, however, face competition from Chelsea for the player. Solksjaer had commented that United intend to take advantage of the transfer market.
This combined with the fact that Frank Lampard expects the coronavirus pandemic to affect the club’s ability to spend could work out well for us indeed.
