Tete names Manchester United among dream clubs

According to Esporte Interativo (h/t Metro), Shakhtar Donetsk star Tete hopes to play for Manchester United one day. The Brazilian starlet has named United as one of his three dream clubs. The other two are Barcelona and Liverpool.

The 20-year-old made the move to Europe from Brazilian side Gremio last February. He has since established himself in the Shakhtar line-up.

Tete has made 26 appearances for the Miners and has scored five goals and four assists. Primarily a right-winger, he is also capable of playing at left-wing and attacking midfield.

Tete is a fan of the English Premier League
Manchester United are among Tete’s dream clubs

Over the years a number of Brazilian stars have used the Ukrainian side as a stepping stone to other top clubs in Europe. Examples of that can be found on our shores. Willian and Fernandinho too made a name for themselves at Shakhtar before making big money moves.

Even among his dream clubs, Liverpool and Man United are likely to be his favoured destinations. This is because of his personal admiration for the Premier League.

He has described the Premier League as a competition filled with great clubs and managers.

“I feel players have more creative freedom there”

Tete has a massive buyout clause of 169 million
Tete joined Shakhjtar last February

Tete has made a number of appearances for the Brazil Under-20 side. He is yet to make an appearance for the senior side. The Brazilian has a massive buyout clause of £129million. United have focussed on bringing in young, talented players in recent years.

Tete is young and can get better with age. It makes sense for us to follow his development over a period of time before making a call on recruiting him.
