Jack Grealish responds to Manchester United transfer speculation
Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has admitted to being flattered by speculation linking him with a transfer to Manchester United, according to the Express & Star (h/t Mirror).
The midfielder, however, is not paying much attention to the transfer gossip (h/t Mirror).
The 24-year-old has led from the front in his first season in the Premier League. He currently leads the club’s charts with seven goals and six assists.
His performances have garnered the interest of United, who are keen on a summer transfer. The midfielder spoke of his pride at being linked with the Red Devils but insisted that he was keeping his feet on the ground.
Grealish explains that he is used to attention since breaking out as a 19-year-old.
“I can’t help but think of playing for England because that is what I want to do.”
The Villa skipper isn’t letting the accolades get to him and is convinced that he can improve even further and score more goals and assists.
