Academy graduate Dan Gore has his say about his dream Manchester United debut
Speaking to MUTV (h/t Manchester Evening News), academy graduate Dan Gore could not hide his excitement after making his debut for Manchester United against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup
The 19-year-old midfielder Dan Gore entered the game in the second half of our 3-0 Carabao Cup triumph over Crystal Palace. Gore joined Casemiro for the rest of the game at the hour mark, which he later said it was “surreal.”
Gore told MUTV (h/t Manchester Evening News) about his experience :
“I don’t think words can describe that feeling, seeing the fans, it is everything you’ve dreamed of, coming true.
“It means everything [to make your debut], growing up as a United fan [along with] my whole family, it means a lot to them and they were all here supporting me.”
It is obviously a great feeling when an academy player steps onto the Old Trafford pitch to represent the team at the highest level. United can make use of such players when the first-team players are either injured or out due to some other issues.
This helps the young talents to gain experience in such a high-intensity game, adding more confidence. United have been producing some fine talents. Alejandro Garnacho, Hannibal Mejbri and Facundo Pellistri are all academy graduates who are slowly and steadily creeping into the first-team dynamics.
Erik ten Hag will surely give Dan Gore more playing time if he can continue his hard work in training and on the pitch. Most importantly, he needs to maintain a good relationship with the United manager to prevent any conflicts later.

It is believed that Ten Hag might give the young man more time for him to play for the badge and help the club. First game last night – hopefully the first of many to come.
