A Saudi club have officially made an offer to sign Manchester United star Jadon Sancho
According to journalist Rudy Galetti, an unnamed Saudi Arabian club are actively pursuing Manchester United forward Jadon Sancho. They have sent an official offer to acquire his services.
Sancho, the 23-year-old English international, joined Manchester United from Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for a fee of £73 million.
He has made a total of 82 appearances for United and has scored 12 goals and six assists. Judging by the potential he showcased at Dortmund, he has given underwhelming performances and the output hasn’t been impressive either.
Sancho has the potential to excel at the highest level of football but somehow, things haven’t fallen in place for him at Manchester United. He hasn’t been able to cement his position in Erik Ten Hag’s starting XI.
United manager Ten Hag excluded Sancho from the United side against Arsenal which resulted in a 3-1 loss. He cited performance issues in training as the reason for Sancho’s exclusion.
Sancho responded to his manager’s criticism through a post on the social media platform X. This action stirred significant controversy among media pundits and United fans.
Ten Hag curiously sent Sancho on a three-month break away from the spotlight to deal with physical and mental issues. The manager’s aim was to rejuvenate Sancho and facilitate his gradual integration into the first team.
Ten Hag has been patient with Sancho. After all, the 23-year-old has featured in all of Manchester United’s first three league games this season, albeit off the bench.
A private communication over such matters would have been better for both parties. It’s worth noting that Ten Hag and Cristiano Ronaldo had differences during their time together in Manchester. Ronaldo was ultimately allowed to leave the club by mutual consent before fulfilling his contract.
United wanted to sign Sofyan Amrabat with a permanent deal. The deal was hampered by Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations as Amrabat was signed in a season-long loan deal. It remains to be seen if Manchester United are willing to sell Sancho amidst his apparent row with Ten Hag.

It could be a good way for us to recoup some of the fee we paid for him and invest it elsewhere. Right now, we have Alejandro Garnacho, Antony and Marcus Rashford on the flank. But the club have to be careful not to sacrifice their depth.
If we can find a good replacement for the former Borussia Dortmund winger, then a sale could make sense. But it may be a wiser option to let Ten Hag first deal with the situation and then take a call later. Let’s hope the manager and the player resolve this situation amicably.
