Manchester United target Kim Min-jae has officially signed for Bayern Munich from Napoli in the ongoing transfer window, according to the German outfit on Twitter (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The Red Devils were interested in acquiring the services of the South Korea international this summer. To that end, the Old Trafford side had agreed personal terms with the defender.

Unfortunately, in the end, the Bavarians beat us to the centre-back’s signature. The 26-year-old was recently unveiled as the Bundesliga giants’ newest addition.

Bayern Munich have officially signed Manchester United target Kim Min-jae from Napoli.

Min-jae caught a lot of people’s attention in the previous campaign at Napoli. The Serie A champions got a hold of the South Korean’s signature from Turkish outfit Fenerbahce last summer.

Subsequently, the defender became a key player for Luciano Spalletti at the Partenopei. The 26-year-old was solid at the back for the Italian outfit as they won the Scudetto after over three decades.

Now, with a move to Bayern, Min-jae has joined another successful team. The Allianz Arena side already have the likes of Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs de Ligt in their ranks. Therefore, will evidently have a lot of competition at the Bundesliga giants.

As for United, we have Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane in our ranks. The two World Cup winners were Erik ten Hag’s preferred duo in the backline last season and have formed a solid partnership.

Also, the gaffer can call upon the likes of Victor Lindelof and Harry Maguire for now. Although, the England international has fallen down the pecking order at the club and has lost his captaincy. Thus, it would not be a surprise to see him leave.

Therefore, we will evidently need to add reinforcements to the centre-back position if the former Leicester City star leaves, considering that Varane is injury prone. However, Min-jae’s arrival to the Theatre of Dreams is out of the question now.
