Real Betis ‘willing to sell’ Nabil Fekir next summer amidst Manchester United interest
La Liga outfit Real Betis are ‘willing to sell’ Nabil Fekir in the upcoming transfer window amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Fichajes (h/t Manchester Evening News).
The Spanish club are looking for around €30 million to part ways with the 29-year-old. Apart from the Red Devils, Premier League rivals Newcastle United and Leicester City have also been linked with the France international’s signature.
Under Eddie Howe, the Magpies are flying high. They signed Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2022 to bolster their forward line.
Fekir made a name for himself in Ligue 1 with Olympique Lyon. The playmaker spent six years with Les Gones and turned into one of the best players in the French top flight during that period.
However, the 29-year-old subsequently made a surprising move to the Verdiblancos in the summer of 2019. But over the years, the Estadio Benito Villamarín side have progressed under Manuel Pellegrini.
Betis are currently challenging for a top-four spot in La Liga. Fekir has played in the number 10 role for the Spanish side this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 19 appearances in all competitions.

The 29-year-old has maintained his reputation of being a quality player in Seville. However, it remains to be seen where the France international’s future lies next.
United have Bruno Fernandes in the playmaking role. The Portugal international has been a key player for the Red Devils since his move from Sporting CP. In recent weeks, Erik ten Hag has also experimented with Jadon Sancho as a number 10.

While the Old Trafford side have an abundance of talent in the attack, the centre-forward position seems a bit short-staffed. For now, Fekir does not look like someone the Manchester-based club should focus their attention on.
