Ansu Fati has ‘no intention’ of leaving Barcelona amidst Manchester United interest
Spain international Ansu Fati has ‘no intention’ of leaving his boyhood club Barcelona amidst interest from Manchester United, according to Mundo Deportivo (h/t Mirror).
The 20-year-old, with his agent Jorge Mendes, will make a decision regarding the future at the end of the season. At the moment, the Red Devils are one of the teams being linked with the forward.
At the moment, the Old Trafford side are looking to bolster the forward line. A number nine is being eyed. However, the youngster from Catalunya is not a natural striker.
Fati himself is keen on staying at Barcelona. The Spaniard is determined to fight for his place in Xavi’s starting lineup. However, it remains to be seen whether the youngster is able to do so.
The 20-year-old has a lot of competition at the Blaugrana. In the summer of 2022, the Spanish giants signed Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha. They also have Ferran Torres and Ousmane Dembele in the ranks.
Fati has made 31 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists. However, most of the time, Xavi has brought the 20-year-old off the bench.
At United, the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo left a void up top. Even though the Red Devils signed Wout Weghorst on loan, the Holland international looks like a short-term solution.
On the other hand, Anthony Martial has also struggled with his fitness in the current campaign. The former AS Monaco star has been unavailable on a lot of occasions for Erik ten Hag.

Fati has usually been deployed on the left wing during his time with the La Liga outfit. But the youngster is also capable of playing through the middle. But will the Old Trafford side buy the Spaniard from Barcelona? Only time will tell.
