Wolverhampton Wanderers (Wolves) have offered Manchester United target Ruben Neves to Barcelona for Ansu Fati, according to Sport (h/t The Sun).

The Molineux Stadium side are eyeing a move for the Spain international. To that end, they are willing to offer their captain plus £26 million to acquire the 20-year-old’s services in the upcoming transfer window.

Fati is also on the Red Devils’ radar. However, the forward’s agent Jorge Mendes is trying to convince the La Masia graduate to join Julen Lopetegui’s team. The superagent has multiple clients on the books at the West Midlands-based club.

Fati broke onto the scene at Barcelona in the 2019/20 season. However, with injuries hampering his development at the Camp Nou side, the 20-year-old has stagnated with the Blaugrana in recent months and has fallen down the pecking order.

Even though the Spaniard has struggled to cement his place with the Catalan outfit, the forward will only leave the Spanish giants for another big club.

As for Neves, he is a target for United, as per The Telegraph (h/t The Sun). The Portugal international has impressed at the Molineux Stadium side over the years. While Wolves have offered the 25-year-old to Barcelona, Xavi is not keen on him.

United seemingly lack depth in the midfield as well as in the attack. Without Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, Erik ten Hag has not been able to get the best out of the Red Devils.

Up front, Wout Weghorst was signed on loan in January by the Old Trafford side from Burnley to provide cover for Anthony Martial. The former AS Monaco star has had multiple fitness issues this season.

Therefore, we could evidently do with more players in the middle of the park and in the front line. However, it remains to be seen what the future holds for both Fati and Neves.
