Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea, along with Manchester United, are ‘interested’ in Southampton star Kyle Walker-Peters, according to talkSPORT (h/t Manchester Evening News).

The 25-year-old’s current contract with the Saints expires in the summer of 2025. However, the right-back is stalling on negotiating new terms with the Hampshire-based club. As a result, he could be allowed to leave the Saint Mary’s Stadium side.

For the Red Devils, the England international is seen as a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The former Crystal Palace star’s future at the Old Trafford side is still uncertain.

Spurs are also looking to bring Walker-Peters back to North London. The 25-year-old made his way through the youth ranks at Tottenham and played for their senior team before signing for Southampton in the summer of 2020.

As for Graham Potter’s team, they are looking at the Saints’ right-back due to Reece James’ ongoing injury issues. The 23-year-old has struggled to remain fit on a consistent basis for the Blues over the years.

Walker-Peters has been a regular at the Hampshire-based club since making his way to Saint Mary’s Stadium. The 25-year-old caught a lot of people’s attention with his performances in the previous campaign.

This term, the right-back has continued his fine form. The England international has made 17 appearances in all competitions for Southampton, scoring one goal.

Diogo Dalot is currently the preferred option at United under Erik ten Hag. The Portuguese has been a mainstay in the Dutch manager’s starting lineup. The 23-year-old has put in some brilliant performances.

Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order. However, in recent weeks, the 25-year-old has shown his qualities, deputising for the former FC Porto star. But if the former Palace star opts to leave the Old Trafford side for more game time, Walker-Peters is a decent option for the club to consider to bolster the backline.
