Manchester United icon Patrice Evra sees the Red Devils dropping points against West Ham United at Old Trafford. The Hammers visit the Theatre of Dreams on 29 October (Sunday) in the Premier League.

David Moyes’ team are currently in a rough patch. They are currently in the bottom half of the table. A lot of people expected the side from East London to be in a better position than they are right now.

Speaking to Betfair (h/t Manchester Evening News), Evra is not confident about a Man United win. The ex-Red Devil feels the Hammers are going to pose a problem for the Old Trafford side and is wary of them.

Patrice Evra believes Manchester United will drop points against West Ham United.

“Against Man United, West Ham will play with no fear and I think it will be an explosive match. The game is at Old Trafford, and it’s a trap. It’s difficult to predict the outcome because when West Ham play against United they have nothing to lose.

“I can see this one being a draw, I know United need the three points after that good comeback against Chelsea, but West Ham are dangerous and I can’t say United will beat them easily. They will make it a tough match.”

The Manchester-based club has had a good record against West Ham in recent years. We have won our last four league games against the London-based club.

The Red Devils are on a good run of their own at home. At Old Trafford, we have lost just one of our last 14 fixtures in the English top flight. The defeat came against Brighton & Hove Albion in our opening game of the 2022/23 season.

In the current campaign, we have beaten the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal at the Theatre of Dreams. After the initial setback Man United faced under Erik ten Hag, the team have found their feet.

In recent weeks, first against Tottenham Hotspur and then facing Chelsea, the Red Devils have been impressive. Some fans branded the Spurs performance as our best under the Dutch manager.

The Old Trafford side have looked promising and supporters are optimistic about a finish in the top four. However, we need to be consistent throughout the campaign to have any chance at securing a Champions League berth.
