Barcelona want to sign Manchester United star forward Marcus Rashford in the summer of 2023
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford is a target for La Liga giants Barcelona for the summer of 2023. The Blaugrana will make a move to sign the 24-year-old next year, according to Sport (h/t Manchester Evening News).
Rashford had an underwhelming last season. Subsequently, there were speculations about the forward’s future with the Red Devils. However, in the end, the England international stayed put.
The United academy graduate broke into the first team dynamics in the 2016/17 campaign. Since then, the 24-year-old has been a key member of the Old Trafford side’s squad.
However, Rashford seemed to have lost his edge after the Euro 2020 final. The forward was part of the Three Lions squad that made it to the final at Wembley Stadium. Unfortunately, the 24-year-old was one of the players who missed from the spot in the penalty shootout as the Azzurri won.
And after that, Rashford looked devoid of confidence when he played for the Red Devils last season. The England international had one of his worst campaigns in a red shirt.
However, Erik ten Hag seems to have been able to revitalise Rashford this season. The 24-year-old has become a mainstay in the starting lineup and has made an impact.
Rashford has kept Cristiano Ronaldo, who was United’s top goalscorer in the previous campaign, out of the side. Against Liverpool and Arsenal, the England international showed his qualities. Although, the Manchester City game was one to forget for our players.

Generally, this season, Rashford has repaid the faith the Dutch manager has put in him. Fans would love to see the forward succeed in Manchester. But will a club like Barcelona entice the 24-year-old to leave his boyhood club in the future? Only time will tell.
