Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel does not rule out signing a striker amidst Cristiano Ronaldo interest
Speaking in an interview to @SkySportsNews as quoted by popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano on Ywitter, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admits he would like to sign another striker when quizzed about the pursuit of Man United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo this summer. The former Real Madrid man’s future at Old Trafford has been a subject of speculation for quite some time now.
Ronaldo joined Man United from Juventus back in the summer of 2021, returning to the club where he became a superstar all that time ago. His return to Old Trafford was received with much fanfare but his time so far has been mixed.
Although Ronaldo has performed fairly decently on a personal note, Man United were abysmal last season. They finished sixth in the Premier League, struggling to a Europa League spot finish for the 2022/23 campaign.
The Red Devils also got knocked out in the Round of 16 in the Champions League to Atletico Madrid last season. They failed to win either domestic cup competition as well meaning they ended trophyless yet again.
The 37-year-old superstar played 38 games last season, scoring 24 goals and providing three assists across all competitions. These numbers are impressive, especially considering that the Portuguese superstar is not getting any younger.
Ronaldo has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer and Chelsea have been touted as a possible destination. Thomas Tuchel is keen on signing a striker this season and the former Real Madrid man could be an option.

Man United will not want to lose the legendary veteran, especially to a direct rival. It is also still not evident if Ronaldo himself will prefer to move to Chelsea considering the relationship he has had with the Red Devils.
A huge decision awaits Man United and Cristiano Ronaldo. It remains to be seen how both parties handle this situation.
