Transfer News: Manchester United handed boost by agent of FC Dallas star Ricardo Pepi
Speaking to FC Inter News (h/t Sports Mole), Jamie Garcia has revealed that his client, Ricardo Pepi, is ready to leave FC Dallas and join a big club amidst transfer interest from Manchester United.
The 18-year-old has been turning heads in the MLS since he left North Texas for Dallas. The season has ended for the American outfit and the teenager scored 13 goals in 31 league games for them. Thus, several clubs are now interested in hiring his services, including Man United.
The Red Devils have always invested in the youth and have promoted them to the senior team. Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford were products of the academy and currently play in the first-team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Hence, their interest in the Texas talent is the real deal. The Old Trafford also received a boost recently after the player’s agent, Jamie Garcia, revealed that his client is ready to join a top club.
“Of course. You cannot be ready until you try. You must always take the big step forward in order to grow. Out of respect for the clubs, I do not want to say who is interested in Ricardo.
“We are grateful to all the teams who have shown an interest in Ricardo, but I do not want to add fuel to the fire with more speculation. We have talked to many clubs, but I think it is best not to say who.”

Edinson Cavani could leave the theatre of dreams after his contract expires next summer. This frees up room for a striker, and in Pepi, United could have an extremely talented one. Christian Pulisic, Giovani Reyna, and Weston McKennie have already shown the rising American talent in Europe’s Top 5 leagues, and United now have a chance to sign the next big star.
However, Bologna, Man City, Liverpool, are also interested in signing him. This gives the 13-time Premier League champions extra motive to sign the player because if he joins either of the latter duo lands his signature, a direct rival will be strengthened.
