Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer provides injury update ahead of Atalanta clash
Speaking in the pre-match press conference (h/t Manchester Evening News), Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed that Manchester United do not have any major injury worries ahead of the clash against Atalanta.
The Red Devils have had a roller coaster of a UEFA Champions League campaign this season. After going down to 10 men and losing against BSC Young Boys in the first game of the competition, United responded in the most heroic manner with a late Cristiano Ronaldo winner against Villarreal.
Similarly, a masterful second half come-back against Atalanta saw them go to the top of their UCL group as they now lead Villarreal & Atalanta by 2 points. However, the return game against the Italian club at the Stadium of Bergamo shall be a daunting affair.
Solskjaer has provided an injury update ahead of the game against the Serie A side. The Norwegian told reporters in his pre-match press conference (h/t Manchester Evening News):
“We are looking alright, this training session this morning a couple of little twinges but I don’t think there will be anything major.”
A couple of unnamed players suffered knocks in the training session at Carrington on Monday and will face a late fitness test ahead of the game.

The 48-year-old travelled with a fully fit squad to batter Tottenham Hotspur 3-0 on the weekend but was without the suspended Paul Pogba. The Frenchman is now eligible for a return in the mid-week fixture and will be looking to add on his stellar seven assists this season.
Winning against Atalanta will put the Red Devils in a relatively comfortable position to qualify for the knockout stages of Europe’s premier competition –something they failed to achieve last season.
