Transfer News: Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland is eyeing a massive contract to leave next summer amidst Manchester United interest
According to ESPN’s Mark Ogden (h/t Espn.in), Manchester United target Erling Haaland is eyeing a mammoth contract to leave Borussia Dortmund next summer.
In what is already becoming a transfer saga, Erling Haaland is the name on the list of most clubs around Europe as they look to acquire a centre-forward that can score consistently.
The Norwegian certainly fits the bill as he has knocked in 70 goals in 69 games for the German club in nearly two years. Hence, it is somewhat of a lottery that the 21-year-old will apparently be available for a fee in the region of €75million next summer.
Man United to pay the big bucks for Haaland?
Manchester United are eyeing a deal for the striker and could slot him in seamlessly as Edinson Cavani could depart on the expiry of his contract. Moreover, Cristiano Ronaldo will also turn 37 next year, and the Dortmund ace could become the heir to his throne at Old Trafford.
However, while the transfer fee looks reasonable for a player of the size of Haaland, he is also set to demand huge wages. The former RB Salzburg star is thought to be demanding a salary worth at least £30million per year.
If United do not wish to pursue the fearless forward due to this, Real Madrid and Manchester City are ready to snap him up and could be ready to hand him his £500,000-per-week wages.

In fact, the entire fee will also be inflated as it is believed that a significant payment must also be paid to the youngster’s representatives for ‘brokering’ the deal.
Thus, neither will the player come cheap and nor will he come easy, thanks to the competition. However, such a player comes once in a generation, and the Red Devils must take a chance on him as he could guarantee goals for nearly a decade.
