Transfer News: Leicester City ace Wilfred Ndidi is on the radar of Manchester United
According to Fichajes (h/t Leicestershire Live), Manchester United are ready to make a move for Leicester City star Wilfred Ndidi.
The Red Devils strengthened their squad in the defence and the frontline by adding 4-time Champions League winner Raphael Varane, long-term Jadon Sancho, and club legend Cristiano Ronaldo.
However, more additions are on the way, especially since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has identified the main area he needs to add players to. The signing of a central midfielder has been considered the position that needs to be filled and Wilfred Ndidi has been earmarked as the top target.
The Nigerian has been a hugely influential member of Brendan Rodger’s squad over the last couple of years and was a crucial part of the Leicester side that made it into the Top 5 last season as well as in the one before that.
However, after 185 appearances for the club, the 24-year-old is eyeing to make his way out of the King Power, especially after the poor form showcased by the Foxes at the start of the season.
Currently 13th in the table, the Midlands outfit have only picked up two victories out of seven games this season. Regardless, this would be a huge coup by United, especially since they would be adding one of the best midfielders in the Premier League to their ranks.

Paul Pogba’s future is up in the air, while Nemanja Matic could depart the club on the expiry of his contract in 2023. Thus, it could be time to bring in reinforcements, and at 24, Ndidi could become a mainstay in Solskjaer’s squad for a long time to come.
However, it remains to be seen whether Leicester will let the midfielder join a club that is a direct Top 4 rival, which has been the case in recent seasons.
