Mancheser United fans not pleased with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after 1-1 draw vs Everton

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was under scrutiny even before the game started as he opted to rest Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo for the Everton clash at Old Trafford.

Things did not always look great for the home side on the afternoon even though they did conjure up a few chances as Everton were a constant threat on the counter. However, close to half-time, Manchester United were able to break the deadlock courtesy of a fine finish from Anthony Martial.

The game followed a similar pattern after the break with Everton looking dangerous on the break. And one such counter brought about the equaliser with Andros Townsend beating David de Gea with ease to make it 1-1.

United pushed in search of an equaliser, but one was not forthcoming. In fact, at one point it almost seemed like Everton had won it when Yerry Mina found the back of the net in the 85th minute, but the goal was chalked off for offside, much to the relief of Solskjaer.

However, his side weren’t able to find a late winner like they did in midweek and ended up dropping points in the Premier League, with all the talks of a title challenge already starting to look a far cry for Manchester United.

The fans were hardly pleased with what they saw from the team and Solskjaer had to bear the brunt of their criticism for a clear lack of cohesion and blueprint within the side.
