Cristiano Ronaldo has made it clear to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regarding how he wants Manchester United should play
According to ESPN (h/t The Metro), Cristiano Ronaldo has urged Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to change the style of play at Manchester United.
The 36-year-old sealed an incredible return back to Old Trafford from Juventus on deadline day and has set the stage ablaze since making his ‘second’ debut for the club against Newcastle United almost three weeks ago.
The Portuguese has already scored 5 goals in as many games, including scoring in both the Champions League group stage games. Ronaldo was the hero on the night when he bagged the winner in added time against Villarreal in mid-week, however, things might have been troubling if the forward had not found the back of the net.
The Red Devils have already been knocked out of the EFL Cup and also lost their first league game of the season against Aston Villa last weekend. Given that they also brought in Jadon Sancho this summer, the attacking impetus is not as threatening as it needs to be at the club.
Ronaldo has now identified this and has apparently asked his Norwegian boss to change his tactics as he wants United’s defenders to provide the ball to forwards more quickly. The sideways passing is not helping anybody because United’s strengths lie in their highly potent forward line.
The Portuguese picked up the Serie A Golden Boot last season after racking up 29 goals in the Italian League, and he plans on winning the same award in the Premier League this season.

This, however, would only happen if more chances are created, and one way of doing it is if the midfielders and wingers are provided the ball quickly.
Thus, it remains to be seen if things change against Everton on the weekend as the Old Trafford outfit enter a tough month of fixtures.
