Transfer News: Liverpool have joined Manchester United in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland

According to transfer news from Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo (h/t The Sun), Liverpool are said to be one of many clubs, including Manchester United, to be in the running for Borussia Dortmund ace Erling Haaland in the near future.

The Bundesliga goal machine is a gift that has not stopped giving since he made the move to the German club in January 2020. After enjoying a good couple of seasons at RB Salzburg, the 21-year-old has turned into a supernova in front of goal in the German league.

Since making the move, the Norwegian has scored a ridiculous 68 goals in 67 games across all competitions, including scoring 11 goals and providing a further 4 assists in 8 appearances this season. These numbers have propelled Dortmund to 3rd in the league table this season, only a point by Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg.

However, Haaland’s stay at the club might end this season as several clubs, including United, are interested in procuring services. The Red Devils are eyeing a reunion between the striker and his former boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Additionally, considering that Haaland became available for £64million, a deal could be possible. The Manchester-based club recently added Cristiano Ronaldo, while they also brought in Haaland’s ex-teammate Jadon Sancho.

A front three consisting of the Norwegian and the aforementioned duo would be a mouth-watering prospect for fans of the Old Trafford outfit. However, singing him is going to be no easy feat.
