Paul Pogba gives his view on Manchester United signing Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo
Speaking to French outlet Telefoot (h/t Red Devil Armada), Manchester United star Paul Pogba gave his views on the club signing Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Red Devils brought in the Real Madrid defender to shore up their backline. The 28-year-old centre-back is automatically a candidate to slot alongside Harry Maguire in the team’s defence.
And the club also finally got a deal for Cristiano Ronaldo across the line. The Portuguese superstar is back at Old Trafford after 12 years.
Pogba, one of the club’s main men, has now given his thoughts about the prospect of sharing the dressing room with two of the biggest names in football.

“The arrival of Raph is always positive, especially for the club. We have a very good relationship, we have known each other for a very long time. I am happy that he is with us and that he brings his experience and his qualities.”
Talking about Ronaldo, Pogba says that it is a ‘pleasure’ to play with the best players in the world and that the level will now go up when it comes to the squad’s performances.
“It’s always a pleasure to play with the best. It’s a boost for the team. The level will increase. We want everything to go very well.”

The trio is yet to feature together but all three of them could be on the pitch at the same time when Man United face Newcastle United on 11th September- a day where Ronaldo can make his much-awaited second debut for the club.
