Harry Maguire sends message to fans ahead of Manchester United vs Leeds
Speaking in an interview with the official club media, Harry Maguire stated that Manchester United fans have a big role to play in the club’s pursuit of success.
Old Trafford has seen fans return in gradually increasing capacity over the course of the past few months. But the crowd will finally be at full capacity for the first time in 17 long months as 75,000 fans will watch Maguire lead United against Leeds this weekend.
The Red Devils would be feeling good about their chances when they take on Marcelo Bielsa’s Whites this Saturday. The first game of the season can often set the tone of what’s to come next for the team.
And Maguire, who has been a rock at the back for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s United team since his move from Leicester City, highlights the push that a full-capacity crowd at the Theatre of Dreams can provide.
Maguire eager for fans’ return
“I can’t wait. I know what a full Old Trafford can do and the atmosphere it creates and the extra push and drive it will give us as players, so I can’t wait to have them back, both at Old Trafford and in the away end too.”
The 28-year-old England international then went on to send a special message to the United fans, who would undoubtedly play an important role if United were to lift their first Premier League title since 2013.
“Stick with us. We’re super happy to have you back at Old Trafford and supporting us, and we can’t wait to play in front of everyone again. We hope we can have a good season together and we thank you for all your support.”

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has added Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane to his armoury without losing any important first-team player. This is, perhaps, the strongest United side that the Norwegian has had at Old Trafford and he would undoubtedly want to win his first trophy as the club’s manager this season.
