Manchester United captain Harry Maguire speaks out on Jadon Sancho move
According to Metro, Harry Maguire is confident that new signing Jadon Sancho will have a great career at Manchester United. Last week saw Manchester United finally agree on a deal in principle with Borussia Dortmund for Sancho.
It took time and it took patience but United finally have their man. Interest in Sancho grew from 2019 itself and last year saw United being knocked back in their pursuit. However, a year later, the English forward will be playing for Manchester United after a deal of £73m was agreed.
With the player currently involved in the Euros, the final formalities such as medical and unveiling will be done afte that. Nonetheless, it would seem that some of his English mates from Manchester United have already welcomed the player to the club.
Maguire gives his opinion on Sancho
Marcus Rashford was among the first to do so and now our captain has given his verdict on out newest addition.
‘Jadon’s a top player. He has exceptional talent even though he is still really young, although he has played so many games. We’ve got some exceptional talent in his position in this England team so Jadon will bide his time, be patient and be ready when his opportunity comes.
I’ve been really impressed with the way he has been working in training. He’s really putting a shift in day in day out. He has some great talent. He is scoring goals in the five-a-sides and so on. He’s a great lad.’
