Eduardo Camavinga reacts to Manchester United signing Jadon Sancho

According to 443 (h/t Express), Rennes wonderkid Eduardo Camavinga appears to have been impressed by Manchester United landing Jadon Sancho.

After more than a year of pursuing him, United finally cracked the code on landing the Borussia Dortmund star yesterday. He is now set to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this summer in a deal that can potentially run until 2027.

Sancho’s announcement was met with widespread joy across the United fanbase. One man who was impressed was Camavinga who liked a social media post announcing the player’s capture.

Camavinga is a very talented young player

Camavinga’s action is interesting given that he is also on United’s radar this summer. One of the best young players on the continent, the 18-year-old is already a regular for Rennes while also making his senior bow for France.

He, so far, has no ties to either United or Sancho, making his action rather curious. While it could be just a case of a young player liking another exciting transfer going through, one will have to question if there is smoke without fire.

United fans will certainly hope that is the case given Camavinga’s prodigious potential. The youngster has just a year to go on his current deal at Rennes. The Ligue 1 side could decide to cash in on him this summer rather than lose him for a free in a year’s time.

Solskjaer is keen to land a midfielder this summer

According to the Mirror, United are in the market for a midfielder this summer. Landing Camavinga will not just give them the player for the present but one who could potentially be an option for the coming decade. Whether we will now turn our attentions to him remains to be seen.

Camavinga is said to prefer joining PSG to stay in France. However, his entourage will still meet with United next week to begin talks over a potential transfer. With Sancho in the bag, it remains to be seen if we can sell our project to Camavinga as well. (h/t Manchester Evening News)
