Manchester United star Donny van de Beek not interested to be part of the Jadon Sancho deal
According to The Express, Duncan Castles has revealed that Manchester United star Donny van de Beek is unwilling to be a part of the deal that could bring Jadon Sancho to Old Trafford this summer.
The Red Devils are working to securing Sancho as their marquee signing this summer. We have made multiple bids for Sancho this summer. However, neither of them has tickled Dortmund’s fancy. A deal is yet to be reached. According to the Express, United have earmarked an upper limit to what they will offer for Sancho.
Speaking on the Transfer Window Podcast (h/t The Express), Ian McGarry had revealed that Manchester United have offered Van de Beek in part exchange to get the deal over the line. It would now appear that the Dutchman is not keen to make the move.
“Van de Beek is going to be resistant to the kind of dealing Manchester United are considering doing with the player.”

Proving his doubters wrong
Castles goes on to reveal that Van de Beek is determined to leave his mark at the club despite his earlier difficulties. The Dutchman isn’t just motivated to compete in the Premier League but also thrive in it.
“The guidance I have as to his position as to what he wants to do this summer is that he wants to stay in England, he wants to stay at Manchester United, and he wants to prove that he is capable of not only playing in the Premier League but excelling in the Premier League.”
Perhaps curiously, the 24-year-old’s intentions remain unchanged despite United’s plans for him. With a full season under his belt and the motivation to prove his doubters wrong, Van de Beek can hopefully turn his fortunes around in the upcoming campaign.
“He wants to do that regardless of what Manchester United’s plans are for him.”

Waiting for the right club?
Castles goes on to shed light on what Van de Beek is seeking. While a move to Dortmund may not feature high on his list of priorities, he could be amenable to another side who are willing to go big on him.
“I think if there was a proposal from a major club wanting to sign Van de Beek in his own right for a substantial transfer fee, and that club was of interest to Van de Beek, you’d have a different story there.”
