According to transfer news from Express, Manchester United have already made their transfer plans for next season. The club are planning on signing a couple of new players to bolster their squad to challenge for the big trophies next season.

The Norwegian is picking up the pieces after what was ultimately a disappointing end to the season for United.

With the campaign now over, the focus shifts to the upcoming summer transfer window. It is no secret that the Red Devils need to bring in reinforcements.

The main areas are being looked at that might see new players arriving. Firstly, there is the centre-back position where United need to bring in a worthy partner for Harry Maguire.

A right-sided forward is also on the agenda along with a proper defensive midfielder. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke out after the last Premier League game and said that two or three new players might be needed at the club.

“Of course, we’re planning as we normally do, that’s an ongoing process. We’re looking at the squad and I hope we’re going to strengthen with two or three players [who] we definitely need to challenge higher up in the table. We’re still too far behind to think it’s just going to come by itself.

“We’ve had a few players on loan that might come back in. There is interest in a few others going out. You want to come out of the transfer window strengthened. It’s difficult to say, I can’t see too many outgoings.

Manchester United’s Europa League final loss proved one thing. The side needs new additions and soon.

Solskjaer had so many players on the bench but did not feel that any of them had the quality to change the game. It is very important that United get a few new names if they are to build on this season.
