Marcus Rashford reiterates his commitment to Manchester United

It was reported by The Guardian at the weekend that Manchester United star Marcus Rashford could leave the club in the future.

The player had admitted to being a fan of both Barcelona and Real Madrid. The assumption went that he could very well move to either of the Spanish giants sometime in the future.

According to the Daily Star, the player took to Twitter to clarify his position in a reply to a United fan account, @utdreport. He confirmed that his words were taken out of context and it does not suggest he will leave the club anytime soon.

The tweet however has since been deleted with @utdreport claiming that the original article from the Guardian does not include the said context.

The 23-year-old came through the ranks at Old Trafford before establishing himself as a first-team star. One of the first names on our teamsheet, Rashford is an indispensable member of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first XI.

He has, so far, shown little to suggest he fancies a move elsewhere. A United fan himself, the club is on the rise, giving him little reason to seek otherwise.

The fact that he took it upon himself to correct the confusion shows the way he feels about the matter. We personally do not think there is anything to worry about regarding his future.

Rashford still has two years left on his current United deal, which includes the option of a further 12 months. With his immediate future well secured, fans can breateh a sigh of relief.
