Man United players refuse to pass the ball to Erik ten Hag’s signing claims new report
As reported by Manchester Evening News, some players in the Manchester United squad have been reluctant to pass the ball to Erik ten Hag signing, Rasmus Hojlund. The young Dane has had a tough start to life in England.
The 21-year-old has made 40 appearances this season recording 14 goals and two assists. While his numbers aren’t too bad, it’s Hojlund’s lack of inconsistency that is most probably leading to a lack of passes from his teammates.
The 21-year-old failed to score anything during his first 14 games in the Premier League. However, January was a turning point for the Dane and he scored seven goals within a span of six games at that time.
But another injury struck the Dutchman leading to a drop in form. Now, Hojlund has only scored one goal in his last eight PL appearances. This lack of consistency makes the Dane an unreliable option on offense.
So, the players have been reluctant to pass him the ball all that often. While this is what the report claims this also seems to be true if you have seen the Red Devils play during the last few weeks.
Hojlund is rarely involved in the game, he doesn’t get fed a lot of balls and those he does manage to get at his feet have not been converted into goals in quite some time now. However, it is unusual for the team to not trust Hojlund considering his second in goals scored in the PL this season.
