Manchester United fans react as Jesse Lingard goes Wolves hunting
Jesse Lingard is enjoying life away from Manchester United. The 28-year-old has made it a habit of scoring goals during his current loan spell at West Ham United.
A bit-part player under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Lingard made the decision to leave Old Trafford on loan in January.
He has thrived under David Moyes in London and has so far amassed six goals and four assists in eight games.
Lingard was the star man once again for the Hammers yesterday night against Wolverhampton Wanderers. The English ace scored a brilliant opener before setting up Jarrod Bowen for their third. The 3-2 win took West Ham to fourth spot.
He also played a role in West Ham’s second on the night. His slick turn was reminiscent of Dimitar Berbatov at his finest. The very impunity with which he put Wolves to the sword raises the question if he is a Lannister.
Lingard looks a different beast at West Ham and is different from the clueless player who trudged along under Solskjaer. The fact that he is impressing elsewhere should raise serious questions about our management.
What the future holds for him remains to be seen. But for now, the moniker ‘Lingardinho’ is sounding as loud as ever.
