Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes responds to fans’ queries on Twitter
Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has developed into one of the best midfielders in the league since moving to Old Trafford last year.
The 25-year-old is the club’s top goalscorer and assist getter this season. There is little doubt that he is a difference-maker for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
The Portuguese sensation invited fans to ask him questions on Twitter, an interaction that gave birth to some key insights.
Fernandes revealed that he models his game on that of Spanish legend Andres Iniesta. The Barcelona ace is one of the finest players to play the game and Fernandes will do well to achieve half of what Iniesta has.
While his trophy cabinet may not yet hold a candle to that of the Spaniard, Fernandes appears determined to change that in the seasons to come.
The 25-year-old has had a number of memorable moments in a United jersey. However, he had no qualms in revealing that the best is yet to come. It is an encouraging response to a fan base who have been waiting for a trophy since 2017.
Fernandes is some way away from establishing himself as a club legend. Given the quality of those who have played for the club, the bar is set very high.
If he goes on to perform as he currently does, there is no reason why his name would become synonymous with the club in the future. Fernandes is keen to be a part of the club’s history and also has an idea of what his statue at the club should read.
Fernandes is a player who gives his best on the field. There’s a little more that fans can expect out of a player who dons the United jersey.

The Q&A gave an interesting insight into Fernandes’ life both on and off the field. Not only does he have a taste for Cappuccino but also believes he is a better cook than his wife. Not very surprising given his competitive nature.
Fernandes took his time to respond to queries, leading some fans to speculate that it was all an April Fools Day trick. A part of us is slightly disappointed at being proven wrong.
