According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal starlet, Emile Smith Rowe has named Manchester United ace Paul Pogba as the toughest opponent he has faced in the Premier League.

The 20-year-old is enjoying a promising breakout season under Mikel Arteta and is currently going through a good spell of games. Premier League experience has been a welcome yet challenging proposition to the youngster.

While the league is filled with top players, it is the name of our French superstar that burns bright in the young Gunner’s mind.

“Paul Pogba is definitely up there.”

Smith Rowe faced off against Pogba in the Premier League encounter at The Emirates in January. The game ended 0-0 in what was a pretty evenly matched contest.

The youngster stepped up to the plate well and gave a good account of himself. While he may not have got the better of Pogba, the Frenchman too wasn’t able to win the game for United.

Not many can get the better of the World Cup winner when he is on top form, forget a 20-year-old youngster.

Smith Rowe found Pogba a difficult opponent

An upsurge in Pogba’s form had been the catalyst to us briefly going top of the Premier League in January. The fact that we have struggled to kill off teams in his absence speaks of the difference he makes.

The Frenchman returned from injury to net the winner against AC Milan midweek. Hopefully, it is the first of many as United look to end the season on a high.

With a number of key games yet to come, Pogba could yet make an impression on more of our rivals. If all goes to plan, Smith Rowe will not be alone in naming the Frenchman as his nemesis.
