Manchester United away kit shirt details for the 2021/22 season ‘leaked’
Footyheadlines (h/t Manchester Evening News) claim that details of the 2021/22 away kit shirt for Manchester United have been leaked, and that the shirt features inspiration from a classic kit.
The shirt seems to be predominantly white and blue and is described as ‘cloud white’. That is the same colour used for the Arsenal away kit this season.
The leaked United shirt is said to be inspired by the iconic Manchester United 1990-92 away kit. That shirt featured white and blue patterns and a red Manchester United logo.
And this shirt will also feature a similar pattern with the Adidas logo and Manchester United badge in red colour. The Adidas Trefoil logo is another iconic addition to the shirt.
Mixing the old and new
It became popular in the 1970s and 80s and United’s shirt would be the first major jersey to feature it in recent times. The full picture of the shirt is yet to be ‘leaked’ but the image above gives a good idea of how it can pan out.
The design of the shirt could, of course, be subject to changes in the coming months. But it is claimed that the shirt “will be remixing the most iconic flavours of Manchester and the club’s DNA.” (h/t Manchester Evening News)
The club would be confident of having a UEFA Champions League on the sleeve of their away kit next season as they sit pretty in 2nd position on the league table. We are also still alive in the UEFA Europa League.
