Manchester United part-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has launched an investigation to get to the bottom of the team’s ongoing injury crisis
Manchester United’s fortunes were supposed to change once Sir Jim Ratcliffe acquired a minority stake in the club. However, things have only gotten worse for the Red Devils ever since the INEOS chief arrived.
Well, their troubles haven’t been because of the change in ownership, in fact, the arrival of INEOS is a sign of good things to come. The team’s struggles have a lot to do with their ongoing injury crisis. The Mirror reports that the Red Devils have had over 60 separate cases of injuries and illness this season.
This is a very alarming number for a club that is supposed to have some of the best facilities in the world. Jim Ratcliffe has now taken matters into his own hands and has launched an investigation to figure out the cause behind the team’s increase in injuries.
Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investigation will thoroughly assess the training regime of Erik ten Hag and the pressure put on his players. The investigation will also look at several other statistics that will help the club get a better indication of what’s causing all these injuries.
The Red Devils have quickly realised that they cannot compete for major trophies while their key players spend extended periods away due to injuries. Hopefully, this will help Man United fix the ongoing injury crisis at Old Trafford.s
However, if Ten Hag’s gruesome training is to be blamed, it could result in grave consequences for the manager. The Dutchman is already under enormous pressure and if he is found guilty of his team’s fitness issues then INEOS could be quick with the axe.
